The BJJ Of Allen J. Sachetti

Being a Purple Belt who has trained with Mr. Sachetti as well as numerous other legitimate BJJ schools like Renzo Gracie Affiliates and others I can speak with some authority about Sensei Allen J. Sachetti.

Mr. Sachetti is a 2nd Degree BJJ Black Belt who is certified by Rickson Gracie, Royler Gracie and Luiz Palhares. He also has spent significant time with Renato Migliaccio from Ryan Gracie and numerous other BJJ masters.

In addition to his BJJ skill Mr. Sachetti also is quite adept at both Greco Roman and Free Style Wrestling and he is uniquely skilled in the Filipino Martial Art of Dumpag which comes from Pangamut in the Island of Negros and Dumog from the Island of Panay.

Having rolled with other world class Jiu-Jitsuists both in competition and in training I can tell you that Mr. Sachetti’s technique is very refined as he distributes energy to key points of contact throughout the move and in his transitions making it very difficult to counter him.

His depth of knowledge in BJJ is vast and his skill level is excellent. Sensei Allen J. Sachetti is certainly one of the better Brazilian jiu-jitsu Black Belts of our time. I thought I knew a lot about BJJ but every time I learn from him I realize how much I did not know.

You see really good BJJ is much more than just the move, it is the energy within the move that occupies and maintains itself throughout the execution of the move that really makes it something. This is what Mr. Allen Sachetti has.

His competition record in BJJ was also good winning several Gold and Silver medals at numerous BJJ Gi and No Gi Grappling tournaments like the 1999 Diamond Challenge, the 2000 Rickson Gracie International Jiu-Jitsu Championships and others. But far beyond this Mr. Sachetti has an impressive NHB / MMA and Full Contact Stick Fighting Career that made him a real pioneer for the things we all have come to enjoy today.

More than all of his experiences though I think Mr. Sachetti’s time at Dauntless has really enabled him to develop some amazing material. He has rolled with, sparred and fought every bad ass from Baltimore to Philadelphia for over 30 years. He has defeated All American Wrestlers, Pro Boxers and Good BJJ Black Belts in open sparring sessions that are really astounding to watch.

The BJJ of Allen J. Sachetti has grown in energy, technique and depth to become something so much more. He has something he calls “Anti-Wrestling” that literally destroys even the best shoots and clinches of even World Class Wrestlers. He teaches this in his MMA Total Strike class and I have to tell you, if you do NOT want to be on the ground and prefer to finish the guy standing up, then this is REALLY FOR YOU.

His clinchwork is next generation countering even the best Greco Roman or Free Style Wrestler to give you capitalizations that other people simply have NO CLUE about. His takedowns are devastating and he has some really good standing and flying submissions to do from there too.

On the Ground Mr. Sachetti’s Top Game is revolutionary as he rips up even the best Guards and 1/2 Guards to pass and give the opponent “no chance” to re-guard. On the bottom he is very fluid, it is like trying to fight a slippery squid!! For his size I cannot believe how he can move to mess up my passes, take my back, reverse me or submit me. Plus his MMA Guard is absolutely out of this world.

So again the BJJ of Mr. Allen J. Sachetti in my opinion is much more than the traditional game you have seen before. It is really much more evolved and refined into something much more. He helps you understand principles of the body and movement to then show you out of the box solutions that leave your opponent completely surprised and FINISHED.

Mr. Sachetti’s BJJ classes are now going on at Dauntless Martial Arts at 13 Prestbury Square, Newark Delaware 19713. Whether you are a beginner looking to learn right or a seasoned BJJ player I higher recommend training with him. Beyond a shadow of a doubt He is the best source of BJJ in Delaware and I have seen them all!!
